Dan McElwaine is a Project Accountant for BLUEFIN who frequently interacts with the Senior Vice President, Director of Operations, accounting staff, project managers, and project support personnel. McElwaine joined the company in March 2016 in BLUEFIN’s Denver office. Having 20 years of experience in accounting, McElwaine knows the key to creating and maintaining a high volume of projects and records within the accounting system. It’s about being flexible, solution-oriented, an excellent communicator while being able to set priorities and multi-task.

McElwaine has supported company-wide technology implementations and project management processes, and he has helped with BLUEFIN acquisitions. In his role, McElwaine is responsible for cash management and revenue recognition, and he specializes in project accounting, accounting, project management and Unanet. McElwaine earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. In his free time, he enjoys all four seasons of the great outdoors and home improvement projects. He also spends time volunteering at his kid’s school and sports teams.
