Nick Lovato, CyberCon’s owner and now Senior Vice President at BLUEFIN, designed a roof solution to meet the challenges of the Westin Denver International Airport. Gensler, a world-acclaimed architect, designed a building that would not obstruct the line of site for air traffic controllers, and the center dips 50 feet to allow controllers full view of the airways from the tower. “DIA’s management team came to me for quality assurance,” said Lovato. “The geometry of this roof is like a saddle. It will experience occasional ice slides. This job needed a membrane that is durable, tough, reflective, and meets UL fire rating at steeper slopes. It also needed to have excellent wind uplift resistance ratings.”
BLUEFIN is pleased to welcome Lovato and his team through the acquisition of CyberCon Consulting on August 2, 2017. This transaction represents a significant opportunity to enhance the value both companies can deliver to their customers. CyberCon has a long history of providing the highest quality roof consulting services to a wide variety of customers, including Prologis, American Honda Motor Co., Southern California Edison, and the Denver International Airport. The CyberCon team will join BLUEFIN’s staff, creating a single integrated company. Nick Lovato is now Senior Vice President of BLUEFIN, and CyberCon co-owner Candace Lovato is Client Services Manager.
“We are excited to welcome CyberCon to BLUEFIN,” said Richard Rast, BLUEFIN’s President. “I have admired CyberCon for many years while working in the industry and living in the community very close to their operations. We value their longstanding success, and we commit to providing their team of dedicated employees the resources they need to grow that success even further. Nick Lovato brings exceptional technical expertise to our management team, and Candace Lovato has been instrumental in developing long term customer relationships at CyberCon. I look forward to working closely with them to continue providing superior service to CyberCon’s customers.”
Nick Lovato commented: “CyberCon is very proud of the legacy we have established and nurtured over the past 26 years. We view today’s transaction as an opportunity to continue growing, and we welcome the chance to provide an expanded service offering to our clients. Culturally, this is an excellent fit for us, and we are excited for our future with BLUEFIN.”
